Based on the "Hill" of the historic mining town of Butte, Montana, the children's theatre has a 106-seat house named the Orphan Girl, after a local mine.  Antigone 2004 More than simply a children's theatre production company, our organization exists to help children and other interested persons of the surrounding community discover and learn more about their artistic abilities, particularly through the medium of live theatre performance and education, and about how they can cooperatively express their gifts in relationship to others. As a relatively new program, the children's theatre grew out of its parent organization, the Butte Center for the Performing Arts, and has, under the guidance of its Orphan Girl Theatre advisory board, with the support of uncounted volunteers, become a viable member of the arts community.
