The Rules of the Mother Lode and Orphan Girl Theatre: RESPECT Respect of Each Other Call each other by name (no one is named "Hey, You") No use of profanity or hurtful language or conversations inappropriate for children No hitting or hurting or inappropriate touching Anything that makes someone uncomfortable is "inappropriate" Respect of the Facility, Equipment & Supplies No food or drink in the Theatre Auditorium area or on stage No rough-housing No feet on theatre seats Stay in the boundaries of the Mother Lode Theatre Use the Orphan Girl door on Washing St. for rehearsals and work calls During office hours, the Mother Lode lobby is off limits There are areas of the theatre that are strictly off-limits: office and box office, lighting and sound booth, fly loft and ladders, balcony and cat walks, upper floors of the theatre, as well as any area marked as "authorized personnel only" or obviously closed for use The Orphan Girl Theatre telephone may be used for necessary phone calls Take care of your props, costumes, and scripts. You will be asked to pay a deposit. If these items are not returned in good condition, we will keep the deposit. Do not use or play with any theatre equipment without permission and supervision from the stage manager or technical director Please clean up after yourself each day. Trash in cans, props and costumes returned to designated area neatly when finished, personal belongings picked up and taken home. Respect Each Others' Time Be one time for rehearsal. (The Orphan Girl Theatre door on Washington St. will be unlocked 15 minutes before re-locked ten minutes after rehearsal begins. After that time, ring the doorbell ("U" for Mother Lode upstairs, and "D" for Orphan Girl downstairs) and the stage manager will let you in. Rehearsals will end on schedule. Let your ride know in advance when you will be finished, and have them pick you up on time. The theatre is closed 15 minutes after rehearsal. Wait inside for rides unless an adult member of the crew is waiting with you. If you must miss a rehearsal, you must call and speak to Suzanne in advance of the rehearsal. An absence is not excused until you speak to Suzanne. If you must leave a message, please leave a phone number where he (or someone on the crew) may reach you. Don't waste time in rehearsal. Be on time for entrances and group work Don't talk while others are talking, performing, teaching or leading If cast members miss three rehearsals, (except for pre-excused problems) they will be removed from the show. Staging a major musical is a team commitment. Respect of the Process Add to the fun, don't subtract from it Be prepared There are no small parts, only small actors Members of the adult crew and the Theatre Staff speak for Suzanne in the theatre in all disciplinary and organizational questions. Their word is final. If we work together with an attitude of respect (for each other, the process and the facility) we will have a great few months!
