OGCT is seeking a Stage Manager for their upcoming production of Peter and the Starcatcher and Frozen Jr.
This role can be filled by an Adult or Teenaged Young Artist.
 
Adult Stage Manager requirements:
- Previous Stage Management Positions (preferred) or other Teacher or Management Roles
- Peter and the Starcatcher: Ability to commit to evenings for 1 week (read through the week of December 16th (one or two days) and 6 weeks starting on January 6th through performances on Feb 23rd. Frozen Jr: Flexible Schedule starting in February through the run in April.
- Confidence to resolve conflict in a production with 25 or more actors
- Have Word/Excel Experience
 
Young Artist Stage Manger:
- Have completed the Stage Management Course at OGCT
- Been in the OGCT (as a technician, actor, etc..) for at least a year
- Peter and the Starcatcher: Ability to commit to evenings for 1 week (read through the week of December 16th (one or two days) and 6 weeks starting on January 6th through performances on Feb 23rd. Frozen Jr: Flexible Schedule starting in February through the run in April.
- Confidence to resolve conflict in a production with 25 or more actors

Stage Manager Duties:
- Takes attendance at rehearsal and tally’s absences for the Director
- Administrative assistant to the director by taking blocking, rehearsal notes and keeping complete rehearsal reports.
- Keeping order during all rehearsals
- Keeping the rehearsal on schedule to ensure completion of anticipated daily tasks
- In charge of leading the clean-up of the theatre after each rehearsal
- Maintain a complete prompt book including blocking, lights and sound cues
- Know where the stage management kit is at all times and any/all first aid supplies.
- During the show, responsible for the organization of backstage and calling of the show to lights and sound operators.
- Conduct themselves in an appropriate manner in regards to working in a children’s theatre and help create an environment free of judgement that fosters creativity.
 
Compensation: Adults will be offered a small stipend for the whole experience. Young Artists will be given class/casting credits for the program.
