The Annual TEN24
Play Festival

Write. Direct. Act. Stage Manage. Volunteer.

Roles are assigned at the kickoff meeting!

ACTOR

Age 7 and up.

Actors rehearse with their groups all day then perform that evening.

DIRECTOR

Age 13 and up.

Directors are given the script early and go over it with their Stage Manager to make a plan for the day of rehearsal. They decide how to use the props, costumes, light cues, and sound cues, then work with their Actors.

STAGE MANAGER

Age 13 and up.

Stage Managers are in charge of the schedule and keep track of props, costumes, and cues. They report in to the Production Manager.

WRITER

Age 13 and up.

Writers are called the night before and stay up all night to write their scripts based on randomly selected prompts. Once their play is written, they are welcome to sleep at the theatre overnight or head home—but Writers must meet with the Director in the morning to go over the show.

VOLUNTEER

Age 13 and up.

Volunteers are given a variety of responsibilities, including escorting groups to different rehearsal spaces, serving food, and more!
